In the garden, sat a soft figure by the pond making up a flower crown by herself... the birds chirped nearby, a peaceful atmosphere around.

At a distance, stood a knight wrapped in silk... quietly watching the usual chaotic princess enjoy the silence, the sight was 'Once in a blue moon'.

The princess was 'Aria Astoria'.

The loyal knight was 'Aldric Ashford'.

Knight Aldric stood at his distance guarding the princess as demanded by the royalty. He enjoyed doing it more than often, but wouldn't admit it because he was just a Knight, performing his duty.

The Knight tensed a bit watching the Queen step into the garden and walk towards Princess Aria.

The current Queen was just a replacement of the real Queen, Princess Aria's mother, who had died giving birth to her.

The Queen didn't say it, but her actions spoke louder than words about how she held resentment against the princess.

And before he knew, he was walking forward... and the queen knew it. Her voice came out soft as she said, "Knight Aldric". But, he sensed some evil into it. Heck! he knew it.

His voice came out rough as he said, "Your Majesty, actually His Majesty has ordered me to not let you linger around Princess Aria."

The Queen clenched her jaw, but decided to play it cool as she said, "I didn't come here for her, I came for some fresh air."

Aldric, though doubtful, nodded his head in quiet acceptance.

His cold eyes moving back to Princess Aria, who seems to be listening quietly to the conversation all along but as soon as her eyes met his.

Her breathe hitched, and so did his as blush crept up her cheeks as she quickly looked away.

Damn, only an eye-contact with him always makes her undone... And, he loved it.

He loved the way her breathe would hitch when their eyes met.

He loved the way blush would crept up her cheeks when their eyes met.

He loved the way she became undone when their eyes met.

Oh! He loved everything about her.
